I've done a search and read thru the reference PDF, hope someone can answer this one for me.

Just started this problem. Express 7.1, have 5 stereo audio tracks, using Silver Verb on each of them, 24/44.1. Plays fine until I hit STOP, then audio stutters. I have to quit and open it up again.

I/O buffer is at 128, tried 256, no change. Process Bufffer Range was Medium, tried Large, no change. System Performace shows hardly any usage. 4 tracks are volume automated. Have UAD-1, not using it on this mix. Current UAD and RME drivers. Minimum system on dedicated WD drive 7200, song files on Raptor 10K HD. Recently updated to OSX 3.8.

Any clues appreciated.

Thanks

EJ

elliot,

I'm not quite sure what to suggest. You're doing everything by the book, or so it would seem. Did this just start since updating to 10.3.8?

Also, you've got plenty of RAM.... Hmm...

What happens when you bypass the Silver verbs? Does it go away? Is there any particular reason you're using 5 individual reverb plug-ins, as opposed to one or two on busses?

What about freezing the tracks? Does that help?

It's odd... just trying to narrow it down a bit...

just record enable a track and then rec disable that track. It should go away after that. It's a bug with some audio cards/drivers and Logic.
